Article 44 of the law of agricultural orientation of 5 January 2006:

biodegradable, a decree in the Council of State sets the conditions for the ban, as of January 1, 2008, of the use, in sensitive natural areas, of substitutable lubricants for uses given by lubricants that are biodegradable or meet the criteria and requirements set by decision 2005/360 / EC of the European Commission establishing ecological criteria and
associated assessment and verification requirements for the award of the Community eco-label to lubricants. "
