Charles Pasqua indicted in the case against oil food

Charles Pasqua was indicted, Wednesday 5 April, in one of the French investigations into alleged malfeasance around the program "Oil for food" in Iraq, said Thursday, the former Minister of the Interior, which announced its intention to challenge the lawsuits.

Suspected by the courts of benefiting from allowances in the form of vouchers for oil barrels awarded by the regime of Saddam Hussein, he was indicted by the investigating judge of the financial brigade, Philippe Courroye, especially for "aggravated influence peddling". Mr Pasqua announced Thursday that "his lawyers will file today an action for annulment of the indictment before the investigating chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal."
