Researchers from the Fraunhofer IVI (Fraunhofer-Institut für Verkehrs- und Infrastruktursysteme) of Dresden transport systems have developed a mobile filling station that distributes hydrogen. Called HyTra, this station was designed as a flexible alternative to stationary production facilities. Mounted on a trailer, HyTra is easily moved, producing and storing hydrogen in various locations. In addition, the hydrogen supply is completely automatic and does not require a pump attendant. HyTra has been certified by the TÜV Industrie Service GmbH technical inspection center, a benchmark in terms of safety and reliability.
