Germany's world leader in photovoltaic energy

According to the German solar energy association UVS, the solar industry has installed more than 2004 100 solar systems in the course of the year 000, able to generate current or heat for a total power of order 300 MWp (total maximum power instal-
megawatts).

This allows Germany to pass for the first time in front of Japan which, according to estimates of the solar industry, has reached a power installed in 2004 of about 280 MWp. The United States follows in third position with approximately 90 MWp.

The German manufacturers of solar installations have invested 2004 in 2 a little more than 1,3 billion euros against 2003 billion in 840 and 2002 million in 5000. This trend has also had positive effects across the industry: there have been nearly 2004 job creations in this sector in 30.000. In total, about XNUMX people work in Germany in the solar industry sector.
