Afsse: 2 reports on the health impact of urban air pollution

Two scientific reports on the health impact of air pollution have been produced. The first gives a measure of the importance of this question in French urban agglomerations; the second proposes a set of measures likely to continue reducing pollutant emissions and exposure of the population.

“In 2002 in France, 9.513 deaths were attributable to exposure in urban areas to fine particles from human activities (industries, automobiles, heating, etc.), this is one of the information present in two separate reports on the health impact of atmospheric pollution just published by the French environmental health security agency (afsse) after eight months of studies. (…) ”
