France Green Plastic: plastic bio agrimaterials

Creation of an Agromaterials Cluster for the Plastics Industry

The Industries and Agro-Resources, Céréales Vallée and Plastipolis competitiveness clusters signed a partnership agreement at the Agriculture Fair (which was held in Paris in February and March 2010) to create France Green Plastics, “the Cluster of Agromaterials for Plastics ”. This cluster aims to develop and industrialize new materials from plant resources for the plastics industry. Through the skills and know-how of their members, Céréales Vallée improves plant resources for non-food use, IAR valorizes plant resources at industrial level and Plastipolis formulates and transforms materials.

By federating the action of the three competitiveness clusters, France Green Plastics will carry out a series of actions to develop a common technological strategy on agromaterials for the plastics industry and to offer international visibility to this French sector.

The cluster will host and also strengthen the network to make emerge innovative partnership projects, it will provide technical and economic watch, coordinate training and transfer of lead and a communication plan.

France Green Plastics aims to become the main reference for French bioplastics sectors (manufacturers, R&D centers, universities, etc.). It should allow all stakeholders to work in unison to advance and emerge agromaterials in France.
